JIMI JAMISON - Never Too Late (Release: Nov 2, EU & Nov 6, USA)

The voice of Survivor is back and his vocals are in better shape than ever. Forget about Pride of Lions or Kimball/Jamison, this album is one step beyond in every way, songwriting is impressive, production is awesome, sound is almost perfect and all that thanks not only to Jamison but also to production guru Erik Martensson whose trademark is in every sound and mainly in backing vocals.
This album is full of energy, amazing mid-tempos and epic ballads but is fair to tell that from song number 8, Calling Your Name, to the end, the album decreases in intensity though Heaven Call Your Name is another soulful cut with a powerful but short guitar solo.
In summary, an album full of great tunes like I Can't Turn Back, The Air I Breath, Not Tonight, Everybody's Got A Broken Heart and the magnificent Never Too Late.
I don't like to use rude words so i apologize...but this album is FUCKIN' GOOD!!

Once again i won't make you waste your time reviewing song by song, you better take a listen to some sounds...

  1. This one snuck past me, will give it a shot. If you have not spun Rick Springfield's "Songs For The End of The World" released last October, it is amazing! My suggestion and personal pick.

    1. Thank you Dennis, i appreciate your advice... i know that album and i agree with you, it's real good, it fits perfect his old school style and some modern vibe. Since it was released last October "Our Ships Sinking" and "Gabriel" are in constant rotation in my iPod.
