The Motherstation - Brand New Bag (Released: 1994, Atlantic/WEA)

Formed in 1990 this Memphis band released only one album back in 1994. Their sound has clear influences from the late 60's and early 70's Rock mixed with some Southern roots... they mentioned as their main influece british band Humble Pie. Is impossible not to think about the Wilson sisters specially because of the powerful vocals by Susan Marshall thought the sound of their music would be closer to Janis Joplin. Marshall sang backing voclas for acts like Lynyrd Skynyrd
Interesting album produced by Joe Hardy (ZZ Top) that didn't enjoy any success.
