MANIC EDEN - S/t (Released: 1994, Victor/Steamhammer)

Manic Eden was a short-lived superband consisting of three member from Whitesnake (Adrian Vandenberg, Rudy Sarzo and Tommy Aldrich) and Little Caesar's vocalist Ron Young. First line-up had James Christian as vocalist but he was replaced by Young before the recording of their only album back in 1994. The only single released was this gem titled Do Angels Die but due to poor sales of the album the band disbanded soon after.
24 Carat raw Hard Rock with some similitudes with early Whitesnake's sound, but probably you'll need more than one listening to get into this album.

SVEN GALI - S/t (Released: 1992, BMG-Ariola)

These canadian guys took their name from a fictional character of George du Maurier's 1894 novel Trilby. They started as cover band and after touring New York the band signed to BMG-Ariola so they released their S/t debut album back in 1992. The album enjoyed some success in Canada reaching Gold certification.

A second album titled Inwired was released in 1995 but the band changed their sound embracing grunge tendencies so it was a commercial failure.

Some called Sven Gali the canadian Skid Row but they had their own personality as noticed in their terrific debut album... Hard Rock with polished production and just a little grunge flavor specially noticeable in guitar tuning... but don't be afraid it ain't grunge. Under The Influence
