AEROSMITH - Music From Another Dimension! (Released: Nov. 6, 2012 - Columbia)

Music From Another Dimension! is not a good name for this album, actually the music in this album is from this dimension because it seems that the "bad boys from Boston" are doin' the same thing for the last 30 years. Any song from Music From Another Dimension! could have been released in any of their 14 previous studio albums. This album sounds raw and introduce some bluesy backing vocals with the exception of the country sounded Can't Stop Loving You featuring Carry Underwood. Others guests in this album are Julian Lennon (backing vocals LUV XXX), Desmond Child (piano Another Last Goodbye), Johnny Depp (backing vocals Fredoom Fighter)... Johnny Depp? what the hell is this? he was also featured in Alice Cooper's I'll Bite Your Face Off video, that's what Rock has just become? Rock acts have to appeal to movie stars to reach higher audiences?
Well, going back to Music From Another Dimension!, the album has been released as single edition, as deluxe version, as deluxe plus dvd, Wal-Mart edition (with bonus track) and japanese edition (with two bonus tracks) it seems like Sony is trying to make us go crazy... instead of nonsenses why don't they support Rock bands and Rock music? Fuck big labels!!
I must say songwriting is good, in fact the guys have joined forces with Diane Warren (We All Fall Down, the best song in this album), Desmond Child (Another Last Goodbye), Russ IrwingMarti Frederiksen...
In summary, the same album that Aeromith has been releasing over and over again all through the years so if you are a diehard fan of the band you will enjoy Music From Another Dimension!.

HEART - Fanatic (Released: Oct. 2, 2012 - Sony Legacy)

Like many other american bands Heart took the decision of changing their musical direction in the middle 90's after the release of Dessire Walks On. I must confess that Heart is between my three all times favourite bands and i keep believing Ann Wilson is the best female Rock singer ever but after the release of Jupiters Darling and Red Velvet Car i wasn't eager for the release of Fanatic and now i can say i was right... Fantic sucks!!
The style of Heart in this album is somewhere between grunge and a bad version of Led Zeppelin. Nothing works with this album, songwriting is weak, production is anachronistic and even the cover of the album is bad but at least Ann Wilson keeps proving she is an awesome singer.
I can't understand why the band behind gems like Heart, Bad Animrals, Brigade or anthems like Straight On, Crazy On You or Barracuda has released such a big piece of shit as Fanatic.
The band decided to disregard their fans so i predict another commercial failure for Heart.
