MICKE THOMAS - Marauder (Released: July 5, 2011)

Here we go with the release of one of the greatest voices of all times, and in fact that's all with this album listening Mickey's voice because none of the covers overcome the original. The album has a raw sound with so few production assuming a change of direction in Mickey's carreer so it has nothing to do with their previous work with STARSHIP, JEFFERSON STARSHIP or even ELVIN BISHOP GROUP.
The album opens with Gimme Shelter by THE ROLLING STONES, this is not a bad cover, half acoustic and with Mickey's voice shinning specially. Sledgehammer by PETER GABRIEL sounds empty while Maybe I'm Amazed by PAUL McCARTNEY is one of the album's highlights with Mickey at his best. Champaigne Supernova, probably is the only cover better than the original one because of Mickey's voice is millions of miles away from Liam Gallagher's voice. Chasing Cars is more much melodic than the original one by SNOW PATROL while Across The Universe haven't got the magic of the original one by BOWIE. The rest of the tracks are covers by MUSE, RUSS BALLARD, THE BEATLES, LEON RUSSELL, BOB SEGER, TOM COCHRANE, AC/DC, SQUEEZE and GEORGE HARRISON.
Let me say something about Life Is A Highway, i spit in this version, this hip-hop touch simply sucks while Moneytalks version is a shame.
The album haven't got a definite direction going from Rock to the Blues of Oh! Darling or Delta Lady

In summary, another bad album of covers... this bores.

Best Tracks (in order of preference):

None

This album is worth of 1.5 out of 5 ROCKS!!!
