NIGHT RANGER - Somewhere In California

Here we go with the return of those Melodic Rock giants. First of all to mention that this is an album full of energy and with the pure taste of Night Ranger from the begining to the end. The album opens with the track Growin' Up In California, a shot of energy that will  remind you to (You Can Still) Rock In America. Lay It All On My is a darker cut with heavier guitars but with fantastic vocal harmonies and catchy choruses, while Bye Bye Baby (Not Tonight) is a vitalistic cut with good vibes. Follow Your Heart has a keyboard intro that could remind the early days of Boston but it all changes into a modern vibe track with heavy guitars. Time Of Our Lives is with no doubt the highlight of the album, a fantastic powerballad in the vein of Sister Christian but never the XXI century version of that song, it has it's own personality in fact the intro would remind to Journey's Faithfully or After All These Years while the vocal harmonies are simply awesome. The rest of the album keeps the same vibe and energy with special mention to No Time To Lose Ya that will catch you from the first listening.

In summary, Night Ranger are back to their roots and they return with a fantastic album with all the flavor of their classic tunes.
