BLACK LAVEL SOCIETY - The Song Remains Not the Same (Released: May 10, 2011)

Here we go with the latest by the band of a guitar's Gods. "The Song Remains Not the Same" is an acoustic album full of versions of BLS and others bands and thats the reason why this album is a little weak. First three cuts of the album are "Ovelord", "Parade Of The Dead" and "Riders Of The Damned" sounds like we were back to the grounge era, specially because of rancid vocals that make this a disappointing start for this album. "Dark Days" sounds empty if you know the original version and "Junior Eyes" once again sounds so grunge. Probably the best cut of the album is "Can't Find My Way Home". The original by Blind Faith is an anthem so this song has been covered multiple times being the best the one by House Of Lords back in 1990 however BLS cover is even fantastic with an awesome guitar solo. The rest of the album keeps being weak with the only exception of "The Firts Noel", a very beutiful cover of this Christmas song where Zakk shows he is one of the giants of the guitar world.
